Dog-Eared Poetry

Well, the time has come for us to put together our own anthology of all the wonderful, touching, and brilliant poems that you’ve written and performed with us in the years past of the café’s history of Open Mic Poetry Nights. The collection will be published by Dog-Eared Cafè with Maichina Veri as your managing editor.

We encourage submissions from everyone. Our community is a safe space for BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, mad, and other marginalized folks, and our publication aims to be a spot for all writers to showcase their work. We will not publish hate speech or unthoughtful deragotory words. The beauty of Dog-Eared poets is their ability to be freely and authentically themselves in an environment curated for arts, culture, and self-expression. Send us your best work. We look forward to it.

The mechanics are being worked on at present, but rest assured—should your piece(s) be chosen—all of you will be compensated financially for your contributions at a rate yet to be determined.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
